Sílvia Cufí is graduate at Biology (2007) and doctor in Biomedicine for University of Girona. After focusing her doctoral thesis in the field of oncology at the Biomedical Research Institute of Girona (IDIBGi) and at the Catalan Institute of Oncology (ICO), she went to San Diego (California, EEUU) in 2014, to join at the research group of regenerative medicine and stem cells of Dr. Izpisúa-Belmonte at Salk Institute as a postdoctoral researcher. During this period as a researcher she carried out various national and international projects and could achieve results that resulted in more than 60 scientific publications indexed.
In 2016, she became part of the Clinical Foundation for Biomedical Research – IDIBAPS – Hospital Clínic de Barcelona as an innovation manager in the Department of innovation and knowledge transfer.
During 2016 she carried out a Postgraduate in Health Management and in 2018 she completed a Program of Senior Management of Institutions of Research, Innovation and Technology Transfer (PADIIT) at IESE Business School in Madrid.
Currently, as corporate development director of the TIC Health Social Foundation as part of the Catalan Ministry of Health, she is in charge of working in the strategic and operational line of the institution, institutional relations and alliances with all the members of the ecosystem at national and international level, identifying new projects and giving direct support to management (CEO). All this with the aim of being facilitators of the transformation of the healthcare and social model through ICT in our country.
